Our University

There are three forms of higher education in our country: full-time, evening and correspondence or distance education. Russian higher education institutions train specialists in all fields of science.

The Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics is one of the leading technical universities of Russia aimed at educating students and retraining professionals in the field of telecommunication, radio engineering and economics. It was founded.in 1921 and during above 90 years was named in different ways.

The course of studies lasts five years and ends with the defense graduation paper (diploma). The academic structure of the university comprises educational administration, 13 faculties, 45 departments, 97 laboratories and 11 study-rooms.

The University collaborates with secondary schools in Moscow and the Moscow Region. It has two branches: in Rostov-on-Don and Nizhny Novgorod.

Among the Russian academic institutions the MTUCI was one of the first to introduce multilevel training providing the probation for Bachelors' and Masters' degrees and engineers.

I am a first-year student of MTUCI. Like at the most higher educational establishments the academic year begins at our university on the first of September and ends at the beginning of July. Each academic year is divided into two terms. During the year students must attend classis and lectures and do laboratory works. The program for the first two years includes courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, drawing and foreign languages. Only with the third year does the professional training begin. Terminal examinations are held at the end of each term.
